In a way we heavily underestimate the importance of art care. Art travels from one place to another. Constantly packed and unpacked.
Art handlers manually craft custom made cases to transport fine art. This mixed-media installation is a critique on the undervalued position of the art handler in the art market. In many cases, art handlers carry out dangerous work whilst being underpaid.
I want you to look at the invisible space, the negative space around a piece of art. As non-functional as it may seem at first, every block of foam now has a role as art. The invisible gets visible.
